William Floyd and The Giving Tree

Students created their own version of The Giving Tree to symbolize sacrifice and relate to the sacrifices of William Floyd to help create our country by signing the Declaration of Independence.

Inch by inch

Artists in grade 1 created closeups of grass inspired by the children's book "inch by inch" by Leo Lionni. They collaged tissue paper and added leaves and details from the story or their own imagination.

Cherry Tree Lesson

Students created cherry blossom branches to celebrate Spring, Earth Day and Friendship. 3000 cherry trees were gifted to the US by Japan!
