"I am thankful" Gustav Klimt inspired trees.
Students are studying the "tree of life" painting by Gustav Klimt. They painted warm backgrounds w horizontal stripes using tempera paints allowing the colors to blend w each stroke. Then they used Chinese bamboo brushes to apply India ink trees w swirls creating Ys and Vs to resemble branches that reach up through their skies.

Art to Remember
Students in grades k-5 created their own drawing representing peace with doves, peace signs, olive branches, hearts, rainbows, and other symbols of love and peace for the Art to Remember fundraiser. I can't wait to see the keepsakes when the come in to the school :)

Peace!
767 pinwheels were created by students of WFE. Pinwheels were placed in the front lawn of our school in the shape of a peace sign.
